Your personal consumption is meaningless. The problem is not over-consumption by 'consumers'. The problem is over-production. Even if you 'own nothing and are happy' society will continue to over-produce and over-consume. But instead of you personally owning what you consume, big corporations will just rent it to you. Over-production will continue unabated. Focus your energy on the production side of things. China's coal fire plants that sustain their industrial production is a good start. Start with coal, then proceed from there.
