What the pandemic pointed out is that we live in an age of 'state capitalism' where government institution and the media have been captured by big business such as big pharma. We learned that the CDC has been captured by pharma. The nightly news is captured by pharma. Meanwhile more young people are dying from opioid additions from big pharma than the pandemic.
The result is people are trying to rebuild society outside of these social institutions. People are fighting against state capitalism through social media, demonstrations, voting with their wallet, and talking with their friends. At some point a critical mass will develop, and we may see some change.
