Unfortunately as the wealth gap between the rich elite and everyone else increase, so too does populism. It is not a left, right thing, but a people vs. elite thing. On the right is Trump and the left Bernie Sanders. This is what caused the French revolution, the Russian revolution, and the Chinese revolution. The next few years I think will be the most dangerous as the world falls into a recession, yet super rich oligarchs get richer. There is an increasing chance of populist leaders taking advantage of this rising inequality.
