That said, I think you are making global generalizations while for food systems and agriculture you need to think on the local level. You state food systems are "very diverse and location-specific", yet you jump into a global analysis of data. To be true to your statement you should brake out the data by region and down to the local area. This is needed to understand climate change.
I've come to the conclusion that anyone who talks about climate change and does not give region and local examples is just cherry picking data. All climate data is local. This is especially true for agriculture.
