The way I define Modernism is a 'flattening' of all knowledge down to objective data, or "science". This was problematic because many social concepts could not be 'flattened' to objective knowledge such as social good, or the experience of beauty. Postmodernism takes Modern data 'flattening' and flattens all knowledge down into social data. Thus what is socially "good" must be objectively "true". If Modernity is focused on what is 'true' Postmodernity is focused on what is 'good'.

The problem with Postmodernity is in abandoning objective reality, it has no way to properly form problem statements, and propose real solutions. It realizes problems such as climate change, the pandemic, and wealth inequality, but cannot objectively analyze the problems. Instead they propose social solutions to objective problems.

The media 'flattens' society into 'politics' and thus makes all issues about government. Thus all social issues must be solved by the government.

The real problem, as I see it, is this 'flattening' or knowledge manipulation stops any sense-making, and stops us from proposing appropriate solutions to problems. In this age of Postmodernity, we have to 'unpack' or 'un-flatten' knowledge in order to use it. Thus we need a methodology for 'unpacking' Modern and Postmodern knowledge for it to be useful.
