Sustainable Development goals are to help developing countries to grow 'sustainably', and for developed countries to reduce over-consumption and to help the developing countries economicly. These are social goals. Environmental goals are objective scientific ones like climate change, and clearly the 'science' is being used to justify the social goals. This is why inequalities are at the top of the list. The agenda here is for rich countries to help poor ones. Climate change becomes a political tool for encouraging rich nations to give money to poor ones. Meanwhile objective scientific problems get lip service.
