Racism is really a much broader topic of ‘social marginalization’ — the centering and empowering of one group of people while decentering and depowering another.

‘Race’ is just one way to marginalize a group of people by making them the ‘other’.

The technique is to minimize their ethnic history making them seem insignificant. Calling people ‘white’ minimizes the ethnic history of Western culture. Identifying people by ‘color’ minimizes their ethnic history.

It is using the techniques and weapons of the colonist against themselves.
