People who are trained in the sciences are not taught to think about zeitgeists or metatheories. They want data, rational maps of meaning, and clear conclusions.

As Robert Pirsig said; "Science works with chunks and bits of things with the continuity presumed, and (the artist) works only with the continuities of things with the chunks and bits and pieces presumed."
