My point was that 'neoliberalism' is perhaps the wrong term, that 'societies of control' or 'state capitalism' are perhaps better terms. I forget that Medium has followers outside the U.S. . In the U.S. 'neoliberalism' is generally applied to the politics of globalism, free-market economy, American economic hegemony, and the resulting endless wars associated with this policy. Neoliberalism in the U.S. started in the Clinton administration, and progressed through the Democratic party in Obama, and now Biden. It has been disastrous both for the American worker, and also all the countries we go to war with. This is why many on the left are turning to socialism as an escape from this policy. (I'm thinking of Bernie Sanders style Democrats.)

I think you should use the broader term 'state capitalism'. This refers to capture of the government by capitalist organizations such as corporations and the military industrial complex. My point was that just as the CCP captured the Chinese government, the U.S. has been captured by corporate interests and no longer serves the will of the people. We can't even get something as basic as universal healthcare.

Interesting about Deleuze. I didn't know the CIA cared so much about French neo-Marxist philosophers.
