Much of the protest now isn't targeting 'power' but rather the 'false consciousness' of the population. People have been exposed to a constant brainwashing operation by power and need to wake up.

It is unethical to allow people with 'false consciousness' to continue to fight against their own self-interests. But waking up can be quite painful and seem unethical at first.
