Let's not be naive. We don't have a democracy in America.

The FBI has now interfered in at least three elections, first James Comey in 2016 by announcing the investigation of Hilary Clinton, causing Trump to win. Then by deliberately suppressing the Hunter Biden story causing Biden to win. Now they are investigating Trump a few days after he announced his intention to run again. And we now learn from the Twitter files the FBI and NSA were having weekly meetings with Twitter and telling them which accounts to take down. The FBI have overstepped their boundaries and are now political operatives. If their mandate was to stop election tampering, they are now using their investigative tools to tamper with elections. It is not in the FBI mandate to tell media companies what stories they should or should not be running.

It is actually against the law for the FBI or anyone in the Executive branch to act politically in the performance of their job. It is a violation of the Hatch Act. My guess is that once the Republicans start investigations, many of these FBI agents will lose their jobs.
