Jung started his career as a research scientist, and much of Peterson’s ideas come from Jung.

I don’t believe many of his ‘scientific’ arguments are valid, but he does make them and believes they are true. His most ridiculous argument was that lobster behavior could explain human behavior.

His ‘scientific’ ideas around I.Q. are the most troubling, as a psychologist he must know that I.Q. was used as ‘scientific’ justification for racism and the sterilization of the intellectually disabled in the 1920s. This is why people accuse him of being racist or a Nazi.
