Although this map only shows coal fire plants, I think it is the most importand data to pay attention to: https://www.carbonbrief.org/mapped-worlds-coal-power-plants China's CO2 emissions are growing expontentially over the last 20 years while the U.S. has declined slightly due to decomissioning old coal fire plants. This graph shows who is really responsible for climate change.
