I've had to deal with discrimination and prejudice my whole life. From being beaten up everyday after school by the Irish kids down the block when I was six, or white people assuming I am Hispanic. This is common prejudice that most people have. I'm technically 'white', but I have never felt 'privileged'.
"White Privilege" is a lie that hides a greater truth. The United States is becoming more segregated now than it ever was. It is segregating on wealth and class lines, not specifically race. It is not because white people are 'racist', it is because neo-liberal policies of both the Democrats and Republicans have created huge wealth inequality and this is keeping working class people poor. By blaming the 'racist' masses politicians don't have to take responsibility for their inaction.
