I've been thinking the difference between the left and the right are very similar to the differences between analytic vs. continental philosophy. This is why the right thinks of the left as 'Marxists'. Meanwhile the right keep going back to the founding fathers who were more analytical. So the modern divide in philosophy mirrors the modern divide in politics. What do you think?
