It is not a question of free speech vs censored speech, it is a question of propaganda and manufacturing consent. Instead of asking Trump real questions like what would you do if you became president again, they doubled down on trying to catch him in lies. This was a bad strategy as the left thinks he is a liar, and the right thinks he is a truth teller.

What gets lost is true ‘freedom of speech’ where people can think different thoughts and ideas. All speech in the U.S. today is ‘framed’ speech which agree with the larger political narratives. It is difficult to advance any idea that does not conform to these narratives. The independent voter realizes they have no freedom of speech or thought, and rightly pissed off at that fact. This is why no one watches CNN anymore and the legacy media outlets are becoming irrelevant.
