I would add that we are on the road to serfdom because oligarchs own the means of production by owning intellectual property. In older times people who owned real estate had power because they controlled agricultural production. Today oligarchs own intellectual property that everyone uses in our modern world. We are on the road to serfdom because individuals do not own intellectual property.

We need to figure out a way to tax intellectual property in the same way we tax real estate. If we eliminated all labor taxes and instead taxed intellectual property and the means of production it would flip the entire social structure. Right now the tax code is set up to give tax breaks to corporations and production, while taxing individual labor. The government taxes Amazon workers while Amazon the corporation pays no taxes. We need to fix this.
