I was watching some religious guy who was saying the same thing, but he thought these old gods came back as demons and it is these demons that are driving everyone crazy, and all the bad things that are happening now are because we are worshiping old gods.

Crazy idea, but.... Much of the conservatism of the Republican party is based on old religious doctrines.

The progressive/conservative Democrat/Republican arguments are almost exactly like the Protestant/Catholic arguments of the 1600s. Hopefully it doesn't result in a Thirty Year War.
