I thought you were joking but I guess not. The original concept was “Male Gaze” and was used in feminist writings to describe the objectification of women by men as sexual objects. Taking a concept developed in feminism and applying it to race doesn’t really work. There is no reason a white person would objectify a non-white person in the same way as a man objectifies a woman.

This, of course, comes from Intersectionalism. I recently read a book on intersectional environmentalism where the author took concepts from race and sex theory and applied them to the non-human world of plants and animals. Social concepts don’t translate into the objective world.

One theory on Intersectionalism is it was promoted by the U.S. Democratic Party as they stopped being a party for the working and middle class and instead adopted race and identity politics as a way to mask their turn to the right. If this theory is true, Intersectionalism and DEI will disappear quickly as the Democrats are moving so far to the right, they will quickly abandon all liberal ideals.
