I would suggest reading and commenting on 'Society of Control' by Gilles Deleuze. It is an 8 page essay that can be found on the internet. We are moving into a society of control where capitalism controls our desires through social mechanisms and 'selling'.

I would also add that we are in an age of state capitalism where the state has been captured by capitalist institutions. The mechanism of governance will be corporations and the state in a public private partnership systems of control.

Hope you will address these issues. I think this is the root of the problems we face.
