I think the war will go on until Russia gets what it wants which is to bomb Ukraine back into the stone age, like they did to Syria.

The U.S. will push war so they can sell more arms to the EU and NATO countries. The Biden Administration has already shipped $1 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
