I think something different is going on here. The Postmodern idea that society revolves around power may be true enough, but I don’t think these people are trying to disrupt power.

Rather I think these people see over-production as the cause of capitalism, and they are trying to disrupt social ‘production’. The quote from the Batman movie; “some people just want to see the city burn”.

Here in San Francisco today several hundred bicyclists blocked the Bay bridge for hours. No agenda other than ‘ride bikes’. Meanwhile on the Golden Gate bridge police were arresting hot dog vendors for illegally selling food. We have entered a Postmodern phase where people are actively trying to take down capitalism and capitalist overproduction. I think the revolt is against capitalist production, not power.
