I agree with much of this but...
If healthcare is 20% of GDP, and the government is currently 44% of GDP, then the two together is over 64%. At what point is the government so large that the private sector can't pay for it? I think this was the problem with Greece. Their government spending was almost 60% of their GDP.
The solution for this would be to reduce military spending, and instead pay for social programs like healthcare. But that is not going to happen anytime soon.
