I agree Deepak Chopra is a charlatan.

Astrology though, is a pre-Modern system of knowledge. It functions on many different levels. It may have been an objective ‘science’ of harmonics. It may have been a subjective system of introspection and spiritual development. It may have been an intersubjective system of Religion in Mesopotamia and Egypt. In different cultures in the last 3,000 years it may have had different meanings to different peoples.

You are looking at this system of knowledge through the lens of Modernity, and reducing this information to purely objective knowledge. I call this knowledge ‘flattening’. Kant, and later Popper, stated there are three systems of knowledge: objective (science), subjective, and intersubjective (social). The Modern age has been about ‘flattening’ knowledge down into objective science. Your critique of astrology ‘flattens’ this ancient form of knowledge down into purely objective knowledge. This is what I am trying to point out to you.

If you would like to read more about knowledge ‘flattening’, I wrote an article about Postmodern knowledge flattening here: https://jaime-roberts.medium.com/the-hyperreal-world-of-postmodernism-93f1130f55f0
