Good luck on your book!

I've come to believe that politics is just spectacle to distract people from existing machinations of Power. Power is based on the structure of society, not the will of the people. 'Politics' implies a polis that can effect government and that political dialog has some effect on government. Politics is just a form of 'class consciousness' used to control the people. Maybe I should stop reading so many French Marxist philosophers!
