Certainly, the over-production and over-consumption of the capitalist system, and the United States specifically has led us to this point. But as the U.S. and Western countries deindustrialized over the last 20 years, and the developing world is in a process of industrialization, this will be flipped on its head. China, India, and Africa will determine the future of climate change and the world, not the U.S.. By 2100 it is estimated that these countries with large populations will emit 85% of CO2 emissions, while the U.S. will emit less than 5%. We need to stop fighting the wars of the past, and look to the future.
