America is losing its middle class, and what was once middle class jobs are not enough to maintain a middle class standard of living.

I'm an architect and my wife is a nurse. Two solidly middle class jobs, yet in California we are poor and can't buy a house no matter how hard we work.

The standard of living has dropped dramatically for working class folks. I think since the pandemic people are moving out of big expensive cities trying to find the best standard of living.

Not sure if Europe is a good option for working class folks. I think there are powerful forces that will cause high unemployment in the future. (Energy prices for example.) Probably a great place to retire though... .
